Observations

Poking along the top of Raven's Ridge, above treeline, the snow depth varies from bare ground up to 140 cm, with an average of 60-70 cm. The deepest pockets are where the dominant southwest winds deposited the snow on lee aspects (northwest through north), namely in the entrances to the main lines into the Nambe bowl

Area observed on 1/13/26
A view of the Nambe Bowl from above treeline. Deception Peak is out of frame to the right.
Wind drifted snow along the ridge, w/ the surface indicating the north winds we experienced as the last storm blew out of our area.
The deepest drift I poked into was 140 cm.
