Went to take a look at Nambe bowl. Conditions, mostly snow depth, are incredibly variable. Ridge tops and Southern slopes have little to no snow (0-5''). Given that the snow is now several weeks old the main dynamic of the snow pack is definitely melting and wind. A few of the chutes in the bowl appear to have enough snow to ski, though I avoided them because of the high potential for wind slabs on the leeward side of the ridge.
I also noticed what appeared to be sluffing off of the shelves on Lake Peak's north western aspect, though they were really small. It was unclear to me if they were wet loose from the warming cycles over the past few weeks or dry loose sluff soon after the storms. Regardless, as always, there appears to potential for over head hazards.
