Ascent from the wilderness gate side up Raven's Ridge to the Nambe Bowl overlook, w/ a goal of probing snowpack depth below treeline and near treeline at the start of well-known northeast through north facing paths on the Nambe Bowl side of the ridge.
Snowpack depth below 12K ft, below and near treeline, averaged 70-100 cm. Notably, this changed above 12K ft, where snowpack depth averaged 60-70 cm, with more evidence of previous wind transport both below and near treeline. Wind pillows were most pronounced at the ridgeline above N-facing slopes.
I did not travel above treeline. Descent via ski area due to time constraints.
