Not far from the summit of bull of the woods mountain on the malachete trail, there are steep sections looming above as well as below (30-35 degrees) As I began traversing, I heard a single "whoomph". I traversed a bit further and heard another 2 as well as witnessed a small crack. I decided to turn back and not continue the traverse.
