D2 SS G-Ground 0.5 m N-Natural A notable avalanche in Nambe occurred, likely sometime, between 10 and 12 of February 2025 during a period when daytime high temperatures were recorded at 39° F at the Santa Fe SNOTEL site. SS-NR-R1-D2

I received word of this avalanche 3rd hand, so details are limited. The observer said "slide appears to be caused by massive rockfall just off the summit of lake. check out craters below bottom of slide"

Of interest, is this avalanche appears to be in the same spot as the January 25 2026 Nambe Avalanche observation https://taosavalanchecenter.org/public-obs/20260125_nambe/
February 12 2026 Nambe avalanche likely triggered by rockfall

With abnormal weather expect abnormal mountain hazards.
