Weather Summary

Cloud Cover:
Clear
Temperature:
27 - 47
Wind:
Moderate , SW

A beautiful sunny day with SW winds in the 20's gusting close to 40 mph at higher elevations. Winds were helping keep some of the warming at bay at higher elevations today.

Snowpack Observations

Snow was starting to warm up quickly by mid-morning at lower elevations. Lots of rollerballs, pinwheels and small loose wet snow avalanches in steep solar aspects from yesterday's warming. There is a noticeable dust layer on the surface.

Other than loose wet snow concerns, not much else is going on in the snowpack right now.

Skiing quality isn't all that great right now as we go through the transition after a big spring storm.
