Went out to heavens today. Seems like we’ve lost a considerable amount of snow depth in the period of warm weather we had. Deadfall and ground hazards were abundant.
Observed some wind textured snow at 12000 feet on a more westerly aspect.
Dug a pit at 12100 on a N facing slope.
There are two distinct facet layers from our two long dry spells. Height of snow 72 cm, all snow fist density, CT13@22 centimeter, smooth planar at dry spell on dry spell interface. Did not observe any cracking, whumpfing, or any dry loose activity on steeper slopes.
Depth of new snow depended on winds transport but was anywhere from 4-6".
