Went back out to HH today. My skin track from last week was mostly intact, except for one low elevation open meadow with evidence of wind deposit where my track had been filled in. Hand pits revealed widely distributed 6 mm depth hoar on the W through N aspects I traveled on. I did not see any evidence of wind slab development below treeline except for specific terrain features on a N facing ridge-line between 11500 and 12000 feet. Steep northerly treed aspects showed some dry loose behavior, but failed to entrain any snow. Skiing on W facing slopes below 11k difficult, with many ground hazards to avoid.
