E-NE aspects below treeline, within the upper 30cm surface snow wet sloughs were easily triggered on anything steeper than about 28° running slow and sloughing out, also several rollers that quickly grew to 1-1.5 meter pinwheels.

Wildy chutes on Kachina’s east side. Observed cornices failing and collapsing about 11:30am from the summit ridge, triggering small wet slabs above outcrops and wet loose sloughs running to about mid-apron.

Temps reached upper 40’s by noon, surface snow was affected to about 30cm down, below that the mid-snowpack was still cold and showing signs of continuing faceting.
