Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Skied north aspect of the mountain, there was a punchy layer 4-6" below the new snow layer, followed by a deep layer of sugary facets. Angle was low, below 30 deg. No cracking or whooping observed. One crack on a small convex slope with loading. Good location during high avalanche danger elsewhere.
