After treeline, during switchbacks up to Wheeler Peak around 11AM I could hear cracking. I think it was southeast of Wheeler and East of Simpson. Descending around 1PM our footsteps were causing rollerballs. Also noticed some 2 rollerballs about 2ft in diameter near Simpson.
