West winds were in the 20 to 30's with gusts in the 40 to 50 mph range. Clouds were increasing by mid-morning with light snow starting around 2PM.
Not a great day for ski quality with crusts on the surface on all but true north and shady aspects from the last several days of warm temperatures and intense sun. Winds were strong out of the West as the Jet Stream is directly on us. Today's winds help keep warming down today. Snow was being transported from the light dusting we received yesterday afternoon.
Did not observe any wet snow avalanches on solar aspects, except for north-facing slopes below 9000'. The warm days last week have helped melt away snow at lower elevations and on many south aspects, we are back to bare ground.
