Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Hey Andy,

For what's it worth: tried skinning to the ice flow in Wilde Bowl yesterday.  Near the bottom of the bowl, dug a quick ECT pit on about a 20 degree east aspect to a depth of about 100-110 cms where I found a hard layer and quite consolidated snow underneath that. I didn't measure, but about 20 cm of recent storm's low density snow on top; distinct layer about 30 cms below that; another distinct layer about 30 cms below that, and then the layer near the bottom of the pit 20-30 cms below that. Did not get full propogation on any of those layers. Shear test made me think this the snow pack seemed pretty well bonded.

We did not skin up to the ice flow however; the upper east-aspect slopes looked wind loaded. Saw numerous but small soft slab avilanches up high all around the circ.
