More detailed information about the snowpack: 

zalocain Whumpfing sound and felt a collapse ski cutting a convexity on a 37degree, small open slope just below tree line. Stout wind slab on lookers left during the ascent near tree line up wheeler peak trail. Skied out on NW aspect in low angle terrain which was really nice.
