More detailed information about the snowpack:

Went to check out Middle Fork Drainage on the Red River side today. We found an overall shallow snowpack that had faceted crusts and cohesive slabs on top of weak faceted layers.  We continue to get failure and propagation in Extended Column Tests with moderate force.  Below Treeline has a firm crust that never softened up today. Solar aspects have a crust on the surface with soft snow still found on North and shady aspects.  West facing slopes are mostly scoured above treeline with overhanging cornices on the leeward side of ridgelines.

More detailed information about the weather:

Clouds rolled in mid-morning but not measurable precip.  Winds looked to be moderate at ridgelines on the higher peaks.  Temperatures were warming during the day but seemed to be colder than what was forecasted with temps only reaching upper 30's at 9000' mid-day.
