Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Not much is changing out there.  Today brought warm temps and less winds than Sunday.  Things did soften up out there today which made for some good skiing.  These spring days are all about timing.   Snowpits didn't reveal anything new, with no stability test scores of note.  There were some "recycled" powder turns on north facing trees, but for the most part a melt-freeze crust has set in near and below treeline that needs to soften up.  If it's not going to snow and winds are going to blow like they did last week, it might as well be warm and sunny!

Photo 1: Some softer snow "recycled" powder on a N aspect

Photo 2: East aspect corning up

Photo 3: Some very small managable wet snow slides.  It's like peeling a layer of an onion.  As warmer temps set in the next couple of days, this will become more of a concern.

Temperatures warmed throughout the day.  Light breeze out of the west at ridgetops, but overall nothing that wasn't expected.
