MODERATE avalanche danger exists at all elevations due to recently formed storm slabs. Human triggered storm slab avalanches are possible today on slopes steeper than 30 degrees with 6 or more inches of snow.  Persistent slabs above treeline are still a concern, especially in shallow areas with weak sugary snow near the ground. Areas above treeline have a MODERATE avalanche danger. Although becoming less likely to trigger a persistent slab, its a good idea to evaluate the snowpack for these week layers. Hard wind slabs in the alpine remain possible to trigger today.  Generally safe avalanche conditions exist near treeline and below. Keep in mind that even during LOW avalanche danger you can still trigger an avalanche that can hurt you. In extreme terrain there is always an avalanche risk.
